🍋 Lemon Mommys: The Untold Dangers of Being a Mom Influencer 📱🤳
By now, everyone knows what a mom influencer is. You may even follow a few. Watching other moms go through what we’ve been through and usually have a great story to tell is comforting. But there’s also a dark side to putting your family’s life online. 📵
Ann Do, a mom influencer with over 275,000 followers on Instagram, warns moms that influencing isn’t all posed pictures and brand deals. “It’s a lot,” she tells ABC. “My biggest challenge as a mom influencer is having a work-life balance.”👩🏽💻🧘🏾♀️
That’s often the biggest challenge that mom influencers face, as their audiences want to see the reel, raw versions of their families, while the moms need to decide what’s just for their families and what is good content for their nearly 300,000 followers.
“Jo Piazza”, an Instagram mom of three and host of the podcast ‘Under the Influence,’ explains the world of mom influencers on her podcast. “There’s a lot of backlash against mom influencers,” Piazza explains.

Your baby finally has a routine! You did it, you beat the system. And while there are some outliers, a four a.m. wakeup call, a nap that lasts 5 minutes instead of 30, and an occasional late night, you’ve got it down, momma!
But your baby’s routine quickly becomes your routine. And while the endless cycle of wake up, breakfast, change, play, breastfeed, change, nap, play, food, and sleep can be oh-so interesting to a newborn, you’re slowly losing your mind and spirit as you try to maintain consistency in your child’s life.
Don’t worry, you’re not a bad mother for getting burnt out on your newborn’s routine. It just proves that you’re sane. Congrats! But it can be difficult when everyone around you is telling you to savor these moments and not take them for granted, while you’re secretly praying your little one falls asleep while they’re breastfeeding so you can finish at least one episode of The Great British Baking Show.
If you’re craving an escape from your baby’s routine, here are a few ways:
🧘🏾♀️Find Breaks Wherever You Can
Try to find little pockets of peace throughout your daily routine. Maybe your partner takes over for a few hours every day, take advantage of their nap time and have some TV time, or keep an iPad in the nursery, so you can read this newsletter while they’re sleeping. Whatever it is, try to find little breaks in your day and do something for yourself.
💬 Ask for Help
Help? For a mom? We know that this can feel nearly impossible, but if you feel as though you’re drowning, tell people. More than likely, you’re not the only one. Maybe all the moms in your mom group are feeling the same way. Maybe your partner can take some of the load off. No matter the solution, be vocal about any struggles you’re facing.
🙅🏻♀️ Put up Boundaries
When you find your peace, protect it at all costs. It’s okay to want to stay home after a long day of being a mother, it’s okay to say no to someone coming over or to do something that, while it may be fun, is likely to make you even more tired than when you started. You need to set boundaries in your life before you get burned out.
💯 Understand that No One Has it All Together
It can be tempting to fall into the lore that everyone else has it all together and you’re the only one struggling. But we promise you’re not alone. Every mother is struggling in some way and it’s going to be better for you and the people around you if you’re just upfront and honest about the mess your life is at times!

🍋Lemon Predict: A Solar Eclipse in Libra is Happening on Saturday, Here’s How You Can Prepare 🌑
We all knew that October would bring spooky season to our doors, but the sun, moon, and stars aligned perfectly 💫 to deliver us the most chilling month of the year. ☮️
This Saturday, October 14th, at 1:54 EST, we’ll see a solar eclipse in Libra.
Libra season ♎️ ushers in thoughts of beauty, harmony, and balance. Solar eclipses create space to look within ourselves to change disharmonious relationships.
It’s natural to feel untethered, disconnected, exhausted, or any other negative emotion, you may need to take a step back and reevaluate your life and priorities. ⚖️
Eclipse-related feelings are not just limited to the eclipse. You might experience these feelings for a few days before and after the eclipse. 🌑
This week’s solar eclipse occurs in Libra, you’re likely going to see several things that you want to change in your world. We encourage you to make note of them and save them for another date, as solar eclipses only occur during a new moon phase, which is not a good time to start something new. 🌙
You will learn about your relationships, both past and present, this weekend. Libras ♍️, Aries, Capricorns, and Cancers ♋️, will experience the most need for change.
