How to *Actually Reach Your Goals in the New Year 🥂

If you’re guilty of setting a few too many resolutions that you forget about by March, this article is for you. These hacks will help you reach your goals this year.

🥅 Set Goals, Not Resolutions

One of the biggest reasons people forget about their New Year’s promises is because they’re setting resolutions instead of goals. Resolutions are usually lofty, while goals are measurable and achievable. Setting goals allows you to track your progress throughout the year.

❓Know Your Why

Knowing the motivation behind your goals will inspire you to achieve them. If you’re making a goal to say you did, you won't be motivated to follow through with it. But if your goal is a stepping-stone to a bigger picture, you’re more likely to achieve it.

👍 Make Your Goals Realistic

Another problem many people have with their New Year’s resolutions is setting unobtainable goals. If you made a huge goal for yourself, break it down into manageable steps. You might not complete all of the steps this year, but you’ll be well on your way.

📅 Plan Ahead

Planning will not only make your goals possible, but it will also make your year easier. If you want to read more books in 2024, curate a fantastic TBR. If you want to drink less, look up fun mocktail recipes

Check In

Don’t assume that your goals will finish themselves. Establish a time to check your progress, whether daily, monthly, or sometime in June. If you’ve created a quantifiable goal, like a certain number of books you read or workouts you do, you can divvy them up into 12-month increments.

Why the Winter Season is the Best Time to Babywear ❄️

😢 Reduces Crying

Every mamma has experienced a too-tearful tot or baby when they go out, but babywearing might be the antidote to those tears. Carrying babies for three hours a day reduces crying by 51%

📈 Promotes Health

One of the main benefits of babywearing is the proximity it allows. Wearing your baby close helps regulate your little one’s heartbeat, temperature, and breathing pattern. These benefits are similar to skin-to-skin contact

🍼 Assists in Breastfeeding

While babywearing doesn’t necessarily make the baby want to breastfeed more than usual, it does provide more privacy for the mother and makes everything more accessible.

♥️ Creates Connection

Holding your baby and keeping them close to you creates a consistently strengthened bond. The connections parents and babies form from the proximity that babywearing allows for them can extend into their teenage years.

⏱️ Eases Tasks and Care

Babywearing is a hands-free solution to looking after your little one. You’ll know where they are because they’ll go everywhere with you! Depending on what kind of babywear you use, it should also be a hands-free solution, so your daily life shouldn’t be too interrupted.

If you’re babywearing this season, remember T.I.C.K.S.
